Spirit of Ecstasy on Rolls Royce
This is a fabulous photo of the famous and well known Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament on an antique Rolls Royce automobile. Some call it "Ellie in her Nightie". It was designed by Charles Robinson Sykes and the model was Eleanor Velasco Thornton who was the secretary and mistress to John Ealter Edward Douglas-Scott-Montagu.
