This is a photo looking through the North door entrance into Rosslyn Chapel which resides in the little town of Roslin, Midlothian, Scotland. The chapel was founded by William Sinclair, 1st Earl of Caithness of the Scoto-Norman Sinclair family in the 15th century. It has been thought that the Knights Templars brought the Holy Grail here according to Dan Brown’s book The Da Vinci Code. I love how in this photo you see multiple layers of arches: the North door entrance (where the men would enter), the arched pillars inside the chapel and the South door entrance (where the women would enter the chapel).
