One day while I was at George George Park located in Clinton Township, Michigan, I came across this grouping of Turtles sunbathing on some rocks and then I noticed there was a frog sunbathing in the background as well! Turtles are reptiles of the order Testudines characterized by a special bony or cartilaginous shell developed from their ribs and acting as a shield. Turtles are ectotherms—their internal temperature varies according to the ambient environment, commonly called cold-blooded. Turtles are classified as amniotes which breathe air and do not lay eggs underwater, although many species live in or around water.
