I love the droplets of water on this rose's leaves after a rain shower and how the big drop is like a magnifying glass on it. You can see the details of the leaf in the big droplet. It almost looks like a glass pebble on it.

Vintage Cabbage Rose
Pink Rose in Vase
This was a beautiful old fashioned cabbage rose that I hand picked from my garden and put in a lovely vintage blue glass vase on my kitchen table. I love the way the sun light is hitting the soft blush pink colored rose.

Flowers on My Table
This was a beautiful old fashioned cabbage rose that I hand picked from my garden and put in a lovely vintage blue glass vase on my kitchen table. I love the way the sun light is hitting the soft blush pink colored rose. The quote goes perfectly with this picture which says "I'd rather have flowers on my table than diamonds on my neck!".

Distressed Pink Rose
This pretty rose was from a bouquet that I received that I digitally altered by turning the background black and white. Then I added a distressed black border filter on top of that image. I love how it gives it a distressed shabby chic look to my photo.

Be Like a Flower...
Love the play of shadows and sunlight in this picture of a lovely blooming crocus during the spring time. The flower is indeed looking up to the sun and the sunlight is giving this crocus a glowing effect from within! This quote of "Be like a flower and turn your face up to the sun." fits perfectly with this image and what it portrays!

Here is a darling photo of a goose that I captured singing while floating in a pond on a lovely sunny day. I thought this quote went perfectly with this photo..."If I cannot fly, let me sing!" by Stephen Sondheim.

Behold The Turtle
Here is a close up of a turtle that I saw relaxing in the sunlight in a pond at George George Park located in Clinton Township, Michigan. I thought of this quote by James Connant about turtles..."Behold the turtle. He makes progress only when he sticks his neck out."

Mr. Turtle
Here is a handsome Turtle relaxing on some reeds in a pond on a beautiful warm sunny day. I like you can see the details of his face and his shell. Turtles are reptiles of the order Testudines characterized by a special bony or cartilaginous shell developed from their ribs and acting as a shield. Turtles are ectotherms—their internal temperature varies according to the ambient environment, commonly called cold-blooded. Turtles are classified as amniotes which breathe air and do not lay eggs underwater, although many species live in or around water.

Four Turtles and a Frog
One day while I was at George George Park located in Clinton Township, Michigan, I came across this grouping of Turtles sunbathing on some rocks and then I noticed there was a frog sunbathing in the background as well! Where Flowers Bloom So Does Hope
This was a photo I took one lovely Spring day of some pretty purple and white variegated Crocuses in my garden. I thought this quote by Lady Bird Johnson was perfect with these blooming blossoms..."Where flowers bloom, so does hope." After a cold snowy winter, the darling Spring Crocuses that are the first blossoms to burst through the soil offer us a glimpse of hope and of good things to come!

Oak Alley Plantation Sugar Cane Kettle
This lovely view is from the beautiful Oak Alley Plantation located in Vacherie, LA. Oak Alley Plantation is a historic plantation located on the west bank of the Mississippi River and is protected as a National Historic Landmark. This plantation dates back to 1830 and is widely known for it`s double row of southern live oak trees about 800 feet (240 meters) long, planted in the early 18th century long before the present house was built. This view that I took was from the back of the property of Oak Alley and is just as lovely as the front of the plantation house`. The big metal pot is actually an old sugar cane kettle from the Plantation and they filled them up with water and lily pads for a charming effect.

Beautiful Chandelier in Fisher Building - Detroit
This is a close up of one of the many beautiful chandeliers located inside the Fisher Building's lobby. The Fisher Building (1928) is a landmark skyscraper located at 3011 West Grand Boulevard in the heart of the New Center area of Detroit, Michigan. The ornate building is designed in an Art Deco style, constructed of limestone, granite, and several types of marble. Downtown Detroit Light Fixture With Muhammad Ali Billboard
This picture was taken downtown in Detroit, Michigan on Michigan Ave. right by the Lafayette and American Coney Island. I loved the look of this old wrought iron light fixture hanging off this old brick building with a view of a big bill board on a building of the famous boxing figure and World Heavyweight Champion, Muhammad Ali, throwing his right fist out in a punch. The image of the first looks very similar to the big Joe Louis fist sculpture that is located on Jefferson Ave.

The Guardian's Mural By Ezra Winter
This is a famous hand painted mural by artist Ezra Winter in the main atrium of the Guardian Building. It features the map of Michigan and this lovely woman is in the very center of the mitten shaped map of Michigan. Also known as the Cathedral of Finance, the Guardian Building built in the late 1920's, was the tallest masonry building in the world when it opened in 1929. The Guardian Building is on the United States National Register for Historic Places and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1989. It is located in downtown Detroit, Michigan.

Michigan State Flag On The Guardian Building - Detroit
This is Michigan's State Flag flying on the Guardian Building located in downtown Detroit, MI. Next to the flag is a carved Mayan God holding a sword that has a lot of detail and is actually quite large. Corrado Parducci created the two sculptures flanking the Griswold Street entrance and this is one of them. Also known as the Cathedral of Finance, the Guardian Building built in the late 1920's, was the tallest masonry building in the world when it opened in 1929. Built for the Union Trust Company, the Guardian Building has been the home for banks, a World War II Army command center, Michigan Consolidated Gas headquarters, and is currently the headquarters for Wayne County, Michigan government (which owns the building). The Guardian Building is on the United States National Register for Historic Places and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1989.
Peek Inside Arched Guardian Building Window
This is a view of one of the main entrance windows of the Guardian Building that is located in downtown Detroit, MI. This lovely arched window with a beehive pattern panels is flanked with colorful Aztec design Pewabic Pottery tiles. Since this was taken in December, you can see that it was decorated for Christmas with a Christmas tree lit up with lights inside the window.
