This photo has so much going on it! It is the Detroit River with the skyline of Detroit, Michigan on the left and Windsor, Ontario Canada on the right. You can see the Ambassador Bridge which connects the two countries along with the U.S. Mail Boat called the Joseph J. Hogan which delivers mail and supplies to the freighters that travel up and down the waterway of the Great Lakes. The J.W. Westcott Company is in charge of these mail boats. All deliveries are carried out by the 45-foot J.W. Westcott II, with the Joseph J. Hogan standing by as a back up boat (pictured).
