Very Excited!  My photo is a winner!

The Canadian Coast Guard Icebreaker Buoy Tender - Samuel Risley that was down bound in the Detroit River between Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan.

This is the CCGS Samuel Risley which is a Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker and buoy tender assigned to the Upper Great Lakes area (Central and Arctic Region). Named after the 19th century maritime inspector Samuel Risley (1821-?) for Upper Canada and Ontario, she is a light icebreaker with a capability to break ice up to two feet (600 mm) thick. Based in the Great Lakes, CCGS Samuel Risley is responsible for keeping an ice-free passage between Port Colborne, Ontario and Thunder Bay, Ontario. It was built in 1985 in Delta, BC. Her home port is located in Parry Sound, Ontario. This photo of her was taken March 8, 2014 as she was down bound in the Detroit River between Windsor, Ont. and Detroit, Michigan.

The Gothic Room's famous stained glass window from the S.S. City of Detroit III located now in the Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle in Detroit, MI.

This stained glass window depicting LaSalle, greets visitors as they enter the Dossin Great Lakes Museum. The window is taken from the lounge of Great Lakes cruise ship S.S. City of Detroit III. This ship, when it was launched in 1911, was the was largest sidewheeler in the world. One of the rooms was an opulent smoking room called the "Gothic Room", named for its Gothic architecture design. It was built from English oak and included this stained glass window. The City of Detroit III was taken out service in 1950. The City of Detroit III‍ '​s "Gothic Room" was disassembled and re-erected in a barn near Cleveland, Ohio for ten years before it was once again taken down and then partially reassembled and restored at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle in Detroit.

Mr. Frog only has eyes for you!

This frog definitely has his eye on you! He is even giving you the Peace sign with two of his toes!  I love looking at this guy's eyes...they are so neat looking!  Check out those peepers!

Creepy Frog

This is an inverted colored picture of a frog that I took. I loved how different the picture looks with this change of colors and tones. Gives it an eerie, creepy feel.

This looks like one happy frog! Looks like this guy is smiling for me as I took his picture! Love the details up close of this handsome looking fella.  This must be a charming Prince in disguise just waiting for his one true love's kiss to restore him back to human form!

Here is a full moon over the North Atlantic Ocean from a beach located in Rye, New Hampshire near Concord Point. This was taken during the beginning of December, so it was a cold day on the beach.  Love all the varying shades of blues and pinks in the sky and water.

Alliums

I love how unique Allium flowers are and the statement they give in a person's  garden.  The big round sphere that is made up of little flowers is so neat as they grow tall and regal looking.  Here is one that I grew in my garden.

Make a Wish...

Metro Beach, Harrison Twp., MI

Had a lovely weekend and visited a local beach/park called Metro Beach.  They were having a big Boat Show there and I attended a BBQ Rib competition that was going on at the show.  While I was there, I decided to take a walk around the beach and was able to take some lovely photos.  I will be posting some in the next day or so from this visit there and I hope you will like them.
