This is a beautiful sunset that I witnessed and was able to capture along the shore in Clevedon, Somerset, England. It looks so calm and tranquil. Love the soft muted colors of the sun, sky and water as they blend and reflect together.

Clevedon Pier on a Misty Morning

This is a beautiful view of the Clevedon Pier (located in Somerset, England) on a misty foggy morning. This Victorian pier officially opened to the public in March, 1869 which attracted tourists and provided a ferry port for rail passengers to South Wales. It has been described by Sir John Betjeman, as "the most beautiful pier in England" and was designated a Grade I listed building in 2001. In 1999 it was awarded the Pier of the Year from the National Piers Society, and a Civic Trust Award.

The Clevedon Pier

Clevedon Pier is a seaside pier in the town of Clevedon, Somerset, England on the east shore of the Severn Estuary. It has been described by Sir John Betjeman, as "the most beautiful pier in England" and was designated a Grade I listed building in 2001. The pier opened in 1869 and served as an embarkation point for paddle steamer excursions for almost exactly 100 years and provided a ferry port for rail passengers to South Wales.

 This is a photo of a Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament on an antique Rolls Royce! This is such a beautiful piece and well known. Some people refer to it as "Ellie in her nightie". It was designed by Charles Robinson Sykes and the model was Eleanor Velasco Thornton who was the secretary and mistress to John Ealter Edward Douglas-Scott-Montagu.
